To get started in this endeavor of a presentation, we always ply our good friend's Mark and Heather with food and beer. Jason than corners Mark with his thumb drive that took us hours to load pictures on (I exaggerate it was an hour!) Mark, never one to turn down a challenge buckles down to help us! This past time, Heather and I escaped with the kids to trick-or-treat! Not sure who had the harder task! Long story short, we had a beautiful slideshow to showoff.
Day of the conference, and our nerves are starting to get the best of us. Of course we are the last to present which never helps. We get to listen to other farmers share their stories, and it is always great as there is such a diversified group of farmers. Who knew graziers could be so interesting. Our turn comes up, Jason of course always one to surprise, does a great job and keeps on track, my turn comes up to talk and every snappy funny thing I had planned to say went right out the window. Just goes to show you, just because I love to talk doesn't always mean I should! Oh well, folks got the gist, we had some great questions, had a good discussion and we were outta there. We are so thankful we have such good friends and family members that are always willing to lend us a hand and support us. We are thankful that we get to talk to people about what we are so passionate about, and that they understand and get it.
Wow what a ramble, but for some reason I had to talk about this! Stay tuned, we have another litter due this week. It is Spirit's litter and is our Late Boar BO's last litter. It is a little bittersweet. I am taking bets for the number of piglets she is carrying! 50% of her litters has been 12! I am betting 10!
Have a great week!!!
